Volleyball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wilson Warriors. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Lexington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Katelyn Sullivan had nine assists and seven digs.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Lexington and Wilson will both be playing Collinwood the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Golden Bears will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
