Soccer Game Preview: Mott vs. Ferndale

The Mott Corsairs will head out on the road to challenge the Ferndale Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mott's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Mott's offense. They lost 8-0 to Cabrini on Friday.

Meanwhile, Ferndale came up short against West Bloomfield on Thursday and fell 3-1. Ferndale have struggled against West Bloomfield recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Ferndale's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mott, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Mott skirted past Ferndale 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Corsairs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
