Football Game Preview: Pomeroy Pirates vs. Tulalip Heritage Hawks + How To Watch

The Pomeroy Pirates will face off against the Tulalip Heritage Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, Pomeroy took their game with ease, bagging a 68-8 win over Cusick. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pirates had established a 52-point advantage.

Kyzer Herres produced another solid performance rushing for 169 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. Another back making a difference was Wyatt Huwe, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pomeroy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 310 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Tulalip Heritage faced North Beach in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hyaks 62-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Pomeroy's record is now 9-1. As for Tulalip Heritage, their record now sits at 5-3.
