You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Godby's strategy against FAMU DRS on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Godby Cougars blew the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers out of the water with a 53-6 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 36 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Godby to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cristina Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Cornelius, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Godby's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for FAMU DRS, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Godby won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Taylor County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Godby is facing Taylor County at the right time seeing as Taylor County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for FAMU DRS, they will welcome Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
