Two dominant signal callers in King Boylston and Jaidan Delaune are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The ED White Commanders will head out on the road to face off against the Riverside Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. ED White knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Riverside likes a good challenge.
On Friday, ED White was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-41 to Oakleaf. The contest marked the Commanders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, ED White got top-tier performance from Nick Roberson, who picked up 119 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Rontrez Loyd handled things on the ground, rushing for 86 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, Riverside played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 45-14 loss at the hands of Bolles. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 11th).
Even if they lost, Riverside's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Josh Roberts, Victor Burks, and Marvin Butler, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for ED White, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. ED White has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 265.4 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Riverside, though, as they've been averaging only 93.1 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
ED White won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in October of 2024, slipping by Riverside 21-20. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Generals' Shermon Davis, who rushed for 151 yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Commanders to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
