Cincinnatus Central is 8-2 against Brookfield Central since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Payton Gerrard put in work while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Gerrard was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Gerrard wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addi Stith, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Lydia Scutt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Brookfield Central never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Madison Central on Friday. They never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Considering the Beavers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cincinnatus Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Brookfield Central, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Everything went Cincinnatus Central's way against Brookfield Central in their previous meeting on Wednesday, as Cincinnatus Central made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
