Basketball Recap: West Ridge Takes a Loss

West Ridge lost against Greeneville back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The West Ridge Wolves fell 67-59 to the Greeneville Greene Devils.

Greeneville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maria Lyde, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Lyde is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Abby Adkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds.

West Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Greeneville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

West Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greeneville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dobyns-Bennett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greeneville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
