Softball Game Preview: Waynesburg Central Raiders vs. Brownsville Falcons

Waynesburg Central has gone 8-2 against Brownsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 4:15 p.m. Waynesburg Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Waynesburg Central is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Frazier just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 7-3 to the Commodores.

Gina Tedrow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Waynesburg Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run. Ellie Makel was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
