Softball Recap: Ritchie County Comes Up Short

Ritchie County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Chapmanville Regional on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 10-9. The Rebels have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Ritchie County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Chapmanville Regional, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ritchie County will host Tyler at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will be playing at home against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
