Basketball Recap: Seckinger Comes Up Short

Seckinger lost against Gainesville last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Seckinger Jaguars received a blow as they fell 64-48 to the Gainesville Red Elephants. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Red Elephants are ranked 13th).

Seckinger's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Gainesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Seckinger won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Milton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gainesville, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Lanier at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Lanier will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Gainesville surely won't give up without a fight.
