Caroline got themselves on the board against Culpeper County on Friday, but Culpeper County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Blue Devils. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to Jaidyn Tingen's shutout, as she gave up just eight hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Caroline got a big performance out of Jordyn Wilkerson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Wilkerson has posted since back in April. Ava Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Caroline's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Culpeper County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12.
Caroline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Culpeper County, they will challenge Goochland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
