Basketball Recap: Nettleton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Vardaman on Friday, Nettleton came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Potts Camp Cardinals on Monday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Jeremiah Nelson was a one-man wrecking crew For Potts Camp. as he posted 36 points. De'Aaunte Bell was another key player, putting up ten points.

Nettleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Potts Camp, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Nettleton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-28 win against Falkner on the 18th. As for Potts Camp, they have also already played their next game, a 63-35 loss against Holly Springs on the 18th.
