It's playoff time, and Cedar Cliff had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Hempfield Black Knights on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Michael Boblick made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Bennett Secrest was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen Anastasi, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Cedar Cliff pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Hempfield, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 22-1.

As of now, neither Cedar Cliff nor the Black Knights have any future games scheduled.
