Not much got past Kasidi Daugherty, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Mississinawa Valley off the board. Daugherty has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tri-County North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Pinion, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Pinion has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Northeastern narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past West Liberty-Salem 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jets.
The result came thanks to Renna Kelly's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks.
On the hitting side, Kylee Williams was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Chloe Waugh, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Tri-County North's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northeastern, their record now sits at 9-11.
