Football Recap: Williston Skates Past Lake Minneola with Ease

While Williston put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Lake Minneola. The Red Devils breezed past the Hawks to the tune of 63-0. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Hawks are ranked 243rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williston to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Jazikoff, who threw for 136 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards and one TD. That's the most passing touchdowns Jazikoff has posted since back in October of 2024. Another back making a difference was Kameryn Manneh, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

The win made it two in a row for Williston and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Lake Minneola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Williston has already played their next match, a 24-14 win against North Marion on the 19th. As for Lake Minneola, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-6 defeat against Lake Gibson on the 19th.
