Recap: Excel Christian Warriors vs. Pyramid Lake Lakers
If the Excel Christian Warriors were riding high off their 56-29 takedown of the Sage Ridge Scorpions on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Excel Christian took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pyramid Lake. Excel Christian has not had much luck with Pyramid Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Excel Christian still got an impressive performance from Mark Doerfler, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Doerfler's third in a row with at least ten points.
Rylen Patrick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pyramid Lake, scoring 22 points. Terrell Twohearts was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Excel Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Pyramid Lake, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
