Softball Recap: Colton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Colton extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 5-4 in the process. They blew past the Dayton Bulldogs 21-11. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

As for Dayton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly ten runs.

For Dayton's part, Cindi Howard was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lila Hutchens, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colton will venture away from home to take on Genesee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 16.1 runs per game this season. As for Dayton, they will face off against McLoughlin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
