Volleyball Game Preview: North Port Bobcats vs. Babcock Trailblazers

The North Port Bobcats will head out to take on the Babcock Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

North Port is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since August 28th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Port Charlotte. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-14.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaden Davis, who had eight digs.

Meanwhile, Babcock made easy work of South Fort Myers on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trailblazers.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-14.

North Port better keep an eye on Talia Matten. She was instrumental in Babcock's win, getting eight digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Matten a new career-high.

Babcock was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. They are 9-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Babcock's record now sits at 11-9. As for North Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

North Port couldn't quite get it done against Babcock when the teams last played back in August as they fell 3-1. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
