Soccer Game Preview: Norris vs. Waverly

The Norris Titans will take on the Waverly Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Norris fought the good fight in their overtime game against Crete on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2. Norris have struggled against Crete recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Jack Malcom and Hayden Nielson scored both of Norris' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Waverly managed to keep up with Hastings until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Vikings came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-0.

Norris' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Waverly, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2.
