Basketball Game Preview: Pine Bush Bushmen vs. Middletown Middie Bears

Pine Bush is 2-8 against Middletown since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. Middletown took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pine Bush, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row dating back to last season, Pine Bush turned things around against Millbrook on Saturday. They snuck past the Blazers with a 58-52 win.

Meanwhile, Middletown ended up a good deal behind Kingston on Thursday and lost 59-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Middie Bears in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Middletown now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Pine Bush, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Pine Bush skirted past Middletown 56-53 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pine Bush since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
