Softball Recap: Utica Ford Victorious

Utica Ford won the last time they faced Grand Ledge and things went their way on Saturday too. The Falcons skirted past the Comets 2-1.

Utica Ford is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Ledge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-7.

Coincidentally, Utica Ford and Grand Ledge will both be playing Hudsonville the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
