Baseball Game Preview: Palmyra Cougars vs. Lower Dauphin Falcons

The Palmyra Cougars will take on the Lower Dauphin Falcons at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmyra will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Palmyra's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Carlisle. The three-run effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Palmyra got a great performance from Jonathan Strohecker as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Strohecker has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Palmyra's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lower Dauphin, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
