Basketball Game Preview: Darby Tigers vs. Loyola-Sacred Heart Rams

Darby is 0-3 against Loyola-Sacred Heart since December of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Darby Tigers will head out to challenge the Loyola-Sacred Heart Rams at 5:30 p.m.

Darby came up short against Florence-Carlton on Thursday, falling 66-43. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Loyola-Sacred Heart waltzed into their contest on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Falcons 82-40. Given the Rams 's advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Falcons are ranked 45th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loyola-Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Darby, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Darby was taken down by Loyola-Sacred Heart 93-41 in their previous matchup on January 4th. Can Darby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
