Volleyball Recap: Serrano Victorious

Serrano won the last time they faced Oak Hills and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Diamondbacks came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Diamondbacks.

Serrano was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Hailey Orozco was nothing short of spectacular: she had ten digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high.

Orozco wasn't the only good servers: Serrano was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 18 consecutive matches.

Serrano now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Oak Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-19.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Serrano will square off against rival Burroughs at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Oak Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Hesperia at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
