Lugoff-Elgin came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Westwood Redhawks as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The game was the first time the Demons have beaten the Redhawks on their court since October 4, 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-15.

Haylee Roberts paced Lugoff-Elgin's offense, picking up 13 kills. Roberts got some help from Dannine Newton and her 22 assists. Finally, Bri Williams kept Lugoff-Elgin's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Lugoff-Elgin's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Westwood, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Lugoff-Elgin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Spring Valley on the 18th. As for Westwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against West Florence on the 18th.
