Baseball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 8-11 in the process. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Normandy Invaders. Surprisingly, this marked the Rockets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Normandy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.

For Normandy's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Wolf, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Gabe Montgomery also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

While Bay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
