Soccer Game Preview: Granby vs. Oscar Smith

The Granby Comets will venture away from home to square off against the Oscar Smith Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Granby and Denbigh finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

The Comets' goal came courtesy of Caleb Jordan, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oscar Smith). Their defense stepped up to hand Manor a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for Oscar Smith in their matchups with Manor: they've now won six in a row.

With that draw, Granby's record moves to 2-3-2. As for Oscar Smith, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Granby skirted past Oscar Smith 2-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
