Softball Game Preview: San Pasqual Golden Eagles vs. Poway Titans

San Pasqual hasn't had much luck against Poway recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Eagles will square off against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

San Pasqual is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They fell 8-4 to San Marcos.

Marissa Barajas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Nicki Bill also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Poway has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.63 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 12-3 to Del Norte. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Alyssa Menges and Ashleigh Ronsse stepped up to the plate in a big way. Menges went 2-for-4 with one home run, while Ronsse went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Poway's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for San Pasqual, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

San Pasqual couldn't quite get it done against Poway in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 5-0. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
