Softball Recap: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Maple Mountain Golden Eagles        
        
		
            
 After losing to Maple Mountain the last time they met, Copper Hills decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Copper Hills Grizzlies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-5  victory over the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles  on Tuesday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Copper Hills.
  Kennedy Jennings made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Jennings was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Anslie Yazzie, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 On Maple Mountain's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lydia Tibbals, who  went 3-for-4 with a  double.
 Copper Hills' win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Maple Mountain, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-8.
 Copper Hills will stay at home for another  game and welcome Bingham at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Bingham is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.4  runs per game  this season. As for Maple Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar Valley at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Maple Mountain has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
