Recap: Liberty Common Eagles vs. Frontier Academy Wolverines
The Liberty Common Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 69-34 win over Frontier Academy. The win was a breath of fresh air for Liberty Common as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Liberty Common's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Geyser led the charge by scoring 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Geyser has scored all season. Jill Koontz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Frontier Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Macee Flores and Loryn Bustos. Flores scored ten points, while Bustos scored six points along with three steals.
Liberty Common's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Frontier Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
Liberty Common will challenge Brush at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brush has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Frontier Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Platte Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Frontier Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
