Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Polytechnic Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Muir Mustangs and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Polytechnic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Kennedy, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Polytechnic and nudges their season record down to 1-2. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Muir, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Polytechnic has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Muir, they will square off against Rialto at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Muir's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Rialto's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
