Softball Recap: Osbourn Eagles vs. Lewis Lancers
Osbourn got themselves on the board against Lewis on Monday, but Lewis never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Lancers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
MacKenzie Fitterer made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Fitterer was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Osbourn got a massive performance out of Lily Donahue, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Tristyn Kershner was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Osbourn's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osbourn will head out to square off against Patriot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Osbourn's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lewis, they will square off against Hayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis will need to watch out since Hayfield has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
