Basketball Recap: Burlingame Comes Up Short

Burlingame lost against Bishop Seabury Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Burlingame Bearcats fell 64-56 to the Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks.

It was another big night for Chase Honarvar, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds for Bishop Seabury Academy. Honarvar has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more boards the last 41 times he's played. Jace Smith was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 12-2-2. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlingame will head out to square off against West Elk at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Seabury Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Heritage Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Bishop Seabury Academy likes a good challenge.
