Volleyball Recap: Merrill Comes Up Short

Merrill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vandals have suffered against the Cardinals since September 23, 2015.

Merrill's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merrill will face off against Vestaburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they will challenge Ithaca at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
