Basketball Recap: Mayde Creek Comes Up Short

Mayde Creek lost against Jordan back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mayde Creek Rams came up short against the Jordan Warriors, falling 86-62. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Warriors are ranked 13th).

When it comes to explaining why Mayde Creek lost, don't look at Jamal Chretien II. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-24 on his way to 29 points and seven rebounds. Chretien II's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Daryus Tasby, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 16 points.

Mayde Creek has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Jordan, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 30-3.

As of now, neither Mayde Creek nor Jordan have any future games scheduled.
