Basketball Recap: St. Mary Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fort Campbell last Saturday, St. Mary came back down to earth. The St. Mary Vikings were beaten by the McCracken County Mustangs 61-29 on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-20 on January 7th.

St. Mary's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for McCracken County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

St. Mary will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McCracken County has already played their next matchup (against Paducah Tilghman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
