Football Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons ended up a good deal behind the North Stanly Comets on Friday and lost 23-6. While losing is never fun, the Gryphons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Comets are ranked 155th).

Max Sutton threw for 41 yards on six of 15 attempts.

Zay Dockery was a one-man wrecking crew For North Stanly. as he rushed for 113 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, and also caught one touchdown. They also got help from Racere Bruton, who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for North Stanly, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
