Soccer Recap: Clinton Finishes Even with Petal

For the first time this season, Clinton was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Petal Panthers finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Wes Ambrose and Owen Coker scored both of Clinton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

With that draw, Clinton's record moves to 3-0-1. Meanwhile, Petal's record is now 9-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will face off against New Albany at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. New Albany's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Clinton's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Petal, they will be playing at home against Center Hill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
