Waverly is 9-1 against Grand Ledge since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Waverly Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Grand Ledge Comets at 7:00 p.m. Waverly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Grand Ledge likes a good challenge.

Waverly is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: East Lansing, who was ranked second at the time (Waverly was ranked 13th). Waverly fell just short of East Lansing by a score of 62-60 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Grand Ledge sidestepped Okemos for a 42-39 win.

Grand Ledge's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Waverly, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Waverly strolled past Grand Ledge in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 67-50. Will Waverly repeat their success, or does Grand Ledge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
