Baseball Recap: South Side Takes a Loss

South Side fell victim to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Chargers. The Rams have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

South Side's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

South Side will head out to challenge Burgettstown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against New Brighton at 5:30 p.m. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
