With all the ranking turmoil over the past month, only two teams fell from this week's MaxPreps Xcellent Top 25 National High School Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. But other than the top two teams remaining the same, this week's rankings are very different.

Torrey Pines (San Diego) and Wando (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) each join the Top 25 this week. The Falcons recently won the prestigious California Challenge and have 14 wins in a row since losing to preseason No. 1 Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.). Wando, which ended Dorman's (Roebuck, S.C.) 50-match win streak two weeks ago, hasn't lost since Sept. 16.

Archbishop Mitty, which fell from the rankings a few weeks ago, hasn't lost in over a month and is riding a 13-match win streak.

Providence (Clarksville, Ind.) pushed its win streak to 34 with a trio of playoff wins. If the Celtics continue to win they could face No. 16 Yorktown in the Nov. 4 state finals.

Not to be upstaged, RAHM (Hebron, Conn.) blanked three more opponents to push its win streak to 37 over two seasons. RHAM, led by seniors Alana Hruska and Allie Welch, has not lost a set this season.

Many teams east of the Rockies have ended their regular seasons and are preparing for deep postseason runs.

• Walton (Marietta, Ga.) closed out its regular season by blasting three opponents by a combined 225-102 margin.

• Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), ended the regular season with six straight wins without dropping a set.

• West Orange (Fla.) concluded its regular season 22-0 and hasn't lost a set in more than a month.

• Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.) ran its win streak to 27 to close out the regular season with a 32-2 record.

Meanwhile, several ranked teams close the regular season this week and could enter the playoffs on hot streaks:

• Minooka (Ill.) rolls into its regular season finale on Thursday with 23 wins a row. Minooka's only 2017 loss was in August to No. 3 Marist (Chicago).

• Marist, sitting one spot behind Minooka in the Top 25, also has won 23 in a row. Marist defeated teams from Kansas and Missouri to win last weekend's St. Thomas Aquinas Michelle Smith Classic.

• Marian (Omaha, Neb.) is 30-1 and closes its regular season on Tuesday riding a 25-match winning streak.

• Bishop Shanahan (Downington, Pa.) puts its unbeaten regular season record (28-0-1) on the line twice this week and ends with 16-1 Bayard Rustin (West Chester, Pa.) on Thursday. Bayard Rustin has won 16 straight.

• Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, Mich.) swept the Beast of the East Tournament and is riding a 38-match win streak as the regular season ends on Thursday at 26-winner Adams (Rochester, Mich.).

West of the Rockies, however, teams are grinding through the regular season and several upcoming tournaments could impact the Top 25 — The Indian Invitational in Colorado and California's Santa Barbara Tournament.
