 The San Diego Cavers will be playing at home against the Madison Warhawks at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. San Diego is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
 San Diego took a loss when they played away from home  on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Tuesday. They blew past La Jolla 18-5. San Diego's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Araceli Teran made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Teran was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Marlena Reyes-Gonzalez was a standout: she got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs and a  triple.  Destiny Ramirez was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Madison had to settle for  an  8-7 loss against Mission Bay on Tuesday. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Madison in their matchups with Mission Bay: they've now lost three in a row.
 San Diego's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
