Volleyball Recap: Lexington Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Lexington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the McCook Bison on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Bison: they've now lost five in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: McCook scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.

Josslyn Mins paced Lexington's offense, picking up six kills. Mins got some help from Brynn Kaiser and her 23 assists. Kaiser was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lexington has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Schuyler on the 30th. McCook has also already played their next game (against Minden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
