Volleyball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Emmanuel Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Community Christian Academy Ambassadors on Friday, falling 3-0. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Ambassadors from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Emmanuel Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Emmanuel Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Megan Butler had 13 digs and three aces. Butler has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last seven times she's played.

Emmanuel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-1. As for Community Christian Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Emmanuel Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 31st.
