Football Game Preview: Gold Beach Panthers vs. Bandon Tigers

The Gold Beach Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Bandon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gold Beach is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Oakland, who was ranked seventh at the time (Gold Beach was ranked 21st). The Panthers took a 22-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakers last Friday. The Panthers have struggled against the Oakers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Bandon strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Myrtle Point by a score of 50-38. 50 seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Bandon's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Gold Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Gold Beach against Bandon in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
