Valley Christian is  a perfect 10-0 against Archbishop Riordan since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out to  square off against the Crusaders  at 4:00  p.m. Valley Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Valley Christian is headed into the  match having just  posted their closest  victory since March 25th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Folsom  3-1.
 Forest Zelmer looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Hunter Fujimoto was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Riordan beat Hillsdale 8-4  two weeks ago. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Crusaders.
 Mason Cohn tossed a big game,   pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Archbishop Riordan is 2-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 5-12-1 otherwise.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Chase Oliver, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  five  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Daniel Ordonez, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Archbishop Riordan was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .391. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Valley Christian pushed their record up to 17-4-1 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Archbishop Riordan, their record now sits at 7-13-1.
 Everything went Valley Christian's way against Archbishop Riordan in their previous meeting  on April 11th, as Valley Christian made off with  a  7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
