Softball Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

Alleghany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the Starmount Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

Alleghany's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Starmount, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Alleghany will challenge Mount Airy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Starmount, they will face off against East Wilkes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
