Baseball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

Jasper lost against Evansville Reitz back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasper's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Evansville Reitz, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Jasper will take on Evansville Bosse at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.6 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Evansville Reitz, they will face off against Southridge at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
