Northside - Pinetown has won three straight games at home, while Bear Grass Charter has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. Last Friday, Northside - Pinetown was able to grind out a solid victory over Ayden - Grifton, taking the game 6-1.

Londyn Keech spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Megan Hopkins and Kinsey White did most of the damage at the plate: Hopkins went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while White scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sophia Berry, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Northside - Pinetown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ayden - Grifton only posted a batting average of .250.

Meanwhile, everything went Bear Grass Charter's way against Gates County on Tuesday as Bear Grass Charter made off with a 15-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Red Barons: they've now won six in a row.

Northside - Pinetown's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bear Grass Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
