Basketball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 67-55 to the Waukegan Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 65-54.

Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Waukegan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Stevenson and Waukegan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Stevenson (ranked 40th) will meet Wheeling (ranked 396th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stevenson is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Waukegan will challenge Mundelein at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th up 201 places (53 vs. 254).
